I was feeling creative today, so I decided to make magnetic paper dolls for my kids. They love being in the kitchen while I’m in there but they don’t always want to help and instead just get in the way. I thought they could stick these to the side of the fridge to keep them occupied and near me while I cook. Win-win, right? We’ll see how that works out.
Here’s what you need:
Self-sealing laminating sheets (or real laminating sheets and a laminating machine if you’re lucky)
Sticky back magnetic tape
Scissors
Markers
or crayons
or color pencils
Paper doll printouts (I got mine here.)
A very strong cutting hand
_______________
Here’s what you do:
Color your print outs.
Cut them out very carefully.
Laminate them, then cut them out again (leaving a small margin around the edges so they stay stuck shut).
Stick a piece of magnetic tape to the back (a tip here: stick the magnets to the heads of the dolls themselves and then in the middles of the outfits so your magnets don’t repel when you put on the outfits).
Hand them over to your little heathens.
That’s it! It couldn’t be easier and the kids love them. They were so excited they couldn’t even stand still!
