In all my research about plastic surgery, I have come across a few users on YouTube that documented throughout the process. I think that is so cool! I mean, it’s one thing to just read what to expect after surgery but it’s so much more informative for me to actually see the process firsthand. So, I thought to myself- I am going to do that! I am going to vlog my way through this, starting today with a video on my reasons for getting the plastic surgery done. I will continue, probably with another pre-op video with my feelings right before the surgery, how I feel immediately after, and even more in the weeks following the surgery. My hope is that it will help other women who are thinking about the “mommy makeover” know exactly what to expect, from how nervous I am before, to how sore and tired I am after, to how my scars are healing as time passes, and ultimately, how pleased I am with the results once I’m all healed up.
Oh- I tried really hard to talk loud but it still wound up being pretty quiet. Adjust your volume accordingly and I will figure out how to make it better for next time.
Enjoy!
One more thing: This video does have a belly reveal. So. Don’t be eating or anything while you watch. You’ve been warned.

You’re very well spoken Rachel. Congrats on your journey and your courage to show how babies wreak havoc on our bodies. I think too many people have a false sense of the reality of child bearing when there are stories like Heidi Klum who can have 4 babies then walk the Victoria’s Secret catwalk 3 months later.
Rachel,
How very brave of you! I’m looking forward to following your story. Good luck!
Since I’ve been reading your blog (over a year ago) you have lost a lot of weight and kicked some ass and hell yes you should take that last step. Unfortunately that skin will not tighten back up by itself. I think that it’s totally acceptable to get plastic surgery and I will no doubt do it too when I’m done having kids. KUDOS!
You GO girl:)
You are Amazing and definitely deserve to do this for yourself because you love you.
You are HOT and I don’t blame you for the tummy…not sure about the top half but hey you are right to love your body and want to make it a little better. I will NEVER be 100 lbs (like someone you and I both know and love). But I too love my body…except the pooch. So I want to be kept in the loop on your blog! PLEASE Tell me everything so I can get brave enough to get my own tummy tuck! I did lasic surgery a few years ago and it was so scarey but I am glad I did…I can see perfect now. It would be great to have a perfect tummy to go with perfect everything else!
Rachel! I am so excited for you! If this makes you happy then that is SO awesome. I got a lot of flack from people when I had Botox injections. “OMG, you don’t even have wrinkles..” Um, yeah I know… I HAD BOTOX! I totally understand the concept of doing it for YOU! I can’t wait to hear how it goes, and of course to see the after pics! You are amazing! xox
I am so proud of you. And I love you, you brave, brave woman. ♥
Great video!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I hope to be making the same journey as you one day.
i was one of those that did question the juxtaposition of “natural” and “plastic surgery” … UNTIL i watched your vid. You did a great job of explaining it, and i’m hoping that everything associated with your surgery goes perfectly. You are an amazing woman! and it really comes through in your presentation.
thanks!
